NP-007-17 has been put into effect

On October 14, 2017 the Federal Safety Regulations “Safety Rules for Decommissioning of Uranium-Graphite Production Reactors” (NP-007-17) has been put into effect.

The Federal Safety Regulations specifies the safety issues for decommissioning of a uranium-graphite production reactor, which shall be implemented in the course of operation and decommissioning of a uranium-graphite production reactor, as well as those related to Safety Analysis Report at a uranium-graphite production reactor decommissioning, and covers the uranium-graphite production reactors in operation and under decommissioning. The Federal Safety Regulations has been issued to supersede the Federal Safety Regulations “Safety Rules for Decommissioning of Production Reactors” (NP-007-98).

Rostechnadzor Order No. 357 of September 8, 2017 “On Approval of the Federal Safety Regulations in the Field of Atomic Energy Use “Safety Rules for Decommissioning of Uranium-Graphite Production Reactors” has been registered in the Ministry of Justice of Russia on October 02, 2017, No.48383.
