Terminology Dictionary on Nuclear and Radiation Safety

The Scientific and Engineering Centre for Nuclear and Radiation Safety has published the Terminology Dictionary on Nuclear and Radiation Safety in the “SEC NRS Scientific Papers” Series.
This publication is the continuation of work on unification of terms in the field of nuclear and radiation safety, which is being led by SEC NRS. As the basis for the Terminology Dictionary on Nuclear and Radiation Safety was used the Glossary “Terms and Definitions on Nuclear and Radiation Safety” edited by A.M. Bukrinskiy (Moscow, SEC NRS, 2004). The structure of the Dictionary includes two sections. The first section – “Nuclear and Radiation Safety for Nuclear Facilities” – was formed from concepts, contained in the Federal Safety Regulations in the field of atomic energy use. The second section (reference) – was formed from concepts, established in a number of Federal Laws related to the field of atomic energy use. The Dictionary is intended to be applied by specialists of executive authorities and organizations, performing activities in the field of atomic energy use, as well as for a wide range of engineering and technical workers.
