Enactment of RB-150-18

15.08.2018 On August 13, 2018 the Safety Guide “Recommendations on Creation of the Final List of Beyond-Design-Basis Accidents to be Considered in the Design of VVER NPPs” (RB-150-18) was put into effect.

The Safety Guide contains recommendations of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia on creation of the final list of beyond-design-basis accidents to be submitted as a part of a safety analysis report for a VVER NPP unit.

The requirements of the Federal Safety Regulations in the Field of Atomic Energy Use to the creation of the final list of beyond-design-basis accidents, on condition the chosen safety ways (methods) are justified, can be met using other ways (methods) than those mentioned in the Safety Guide.
