Summarized results of the "Integrated Safety and Security Exhibition 2019"

14.06.2019 The XII “Integrated Safety and Security Exhibition 2019” came back to the site of  VDNH EXPO (Exhibition of Economic Achievements, Moscow) upon a two-year break. The EXPO attracted to participate 268 companies and organizations.  The EXPO presented a vast business part. A lot of conferences, meetings, workshops and round tables attracted about 17 thousand of participants. And it should be noted, that the EXPO hosted the I International Fire-Fighting and Rescue Congress for the first time, which made the “Integrated Safety and Security Exhibition 2019” to be the most impressive forum over the entire history of its existence. Speaking about its significancy, Mr. Yuriy Borisov, Deputy Chairman of thee Russian Federation Government, said: "Today the EXPO provides an excellent opportunity for the specialists to make aware of the advanced ideas in the field of Safety and Security, to exchange opinions on their practical application, to share experience, and to dicuss the actual problems of the evolvement of the field, and to create nex business relationships".

This year Russia celebrates the 370-year anniversary of the fire protection service. No wonder that the part of the exposition was devoted to the history of evolution of special fire-extinguishing equipment. Benchmarking of the old and new equipment highlighted the huge success in industrial safety development. The most advanced fire engines, presented by "Prioritet" company, developed on the basis of KAMAZ and Ural-Next chassis, distiguished by power and multifunctional performance. Special wrist straps for disabled people, presented by "Strelets"  company, render it possible to transmit alarm signals, to find the person location and render him timely aid, and demonstrate accuracy and precise calculation. These companies are already well famous, their products are quite popular. The EXPO also gave way to newcomers.  "Energocontract" company presented several developments of a fireman outfit. The coverall (PSKT model) and fire-fighting suit for forest fires are characterized as universal, ergonomic, light-weighted with the effective water-wicking and heat removal capability of the membrane layer. The suits are easy-to-use, and can be washed. The suit quality was demonstrated on May 19 in St.Petersburg by Mr. Ivan Timofeyev, senior instructor of the Gas and Smoke Protection Service, Fire and Rescue Unit 34, Team 1 of the Federal Border Guard Service of St.Petersburg, who ran a semi-marathon in the fireman suit. The air temperature in the day of  the marathon was about 23-25 degrees Celsius, so the suit quality was tried in severe, nearly combat conditions.

Highly attractive was the stand with hydraulic rescue tools, produced by "Agregat" plant. Hydraulic underreamers, scissors, nippers of the newest fourth series were redcuced in weight  (from 2.5 up to 4 kg), succeded in load-bearing characteristics and can compete now with the European analogues. For example, new scissors demonstrate the cutting force of 220 t and can cut a 25 mm metal bar. The EXPO also presented two- and four-staged pump units. Since 2018, the "Agregat" plant started production of storage-battery power tools, which allow firemen to response immediately in road traffic accidents and other emergency situations. Under "Python" trade name the production of fire-fighting thermovisors was started. By its quality characteristics the Russian model can easily compete with the West-European analogues.

Research and Production Association "Modern Fire-fighting Technologies" (SOPOT) from St.Petersburg presented at the EXPO a unique "frozen foam", which allows fire-extinguishing at natural gas fields, at the places of liquid gas production and storage.

"Purga" plants for combined fire-extinguishing are capable to produce a huge amount of special-purpose foam, that is supplied to the item on fire to create a particular layer, which prevents an escape of a large amount of gas into atmosphere thus avoiding the threat of explosion. These plants can be applied in case of fires at oil-fields. The mentioned Association developed a forest fire-extinguishing technology based on "quick-hardening foam", which  falling on a solid item on fire envelopes it, thus preventing heat release and  propagation of fire.

The special attention in the course of the EXPO business part was paid to practical application of digital safety and security technologies, modernization of life safety systems and information systems of the EMERCOM of Russia, as well as to digialization of the State Fire Supervision. This is particularly important for solving the task, settled before the Ministry by the Russian Federation President, Vladimir Putin. It is necessary to bring the legislative framework in conformance with the state-of-the-art in the field of fire supervision and life safety by reducing the pressure to business, eliminating overregulation in this field, and at the same time providing people's life and health protection and appropriate functioning of enterprises and institutions. A lot was spoken  during round-tables of Rostech and Rostelecom  stand about the ways to integrate various safety and security systems, existing and applied by different services and organizations into a  unified information complex. The issues on enhancement of the legislative framework in the area of public civil defense and protection were discussed at the meeting of leadership of the federal executive bodies and executive authorities of the constituent territories of the federation held on June 5. That was one of the most representative meetings held in our country for the leadership of such level. This year the "Integrated Safety and Security Exhibition" managed to gather together the appropriate circle of interested parties.

The most attended day of the EXPO was June 6. This day the EXPO hosted the   “RoboEMERCOM” festival for children.  The festival was held for the third time and was opened by Mr. Alexander Chupriyan, Colonel-General of Internal Service, First Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergency Management and Natural Disasters Response. The festival agenda included the competition of young inventors and  developers “Robot comes to help”, the children drawing contest “Robot is the Future Rescuer”, robotic competitions “One chance to resque” and a large number of master classes. More than three hundread of children from Kalmuckia, the Volgograd Region, the Vladimir Region, the Ivanovo Region, the Moscow Region and Moscow visited VDNH to takee part in the festival. The competition “Robot comes to help” found its winners among the youngest representatives, namely: Fedor Uvarov from Volzhski in “Idea” nomination, Dmitriy Novikov and Ekaterina Yakhlakova from Dmitrov in “Model” nomination, and Maxim Kabushev, Pavel Belyaev and Fedor Syatkin from Dorokhovo-Ruzskiy settlement in “Pilot model“ nomination among children below 14 years old. The festival prizes were obtained by children from Obninsk, Ivanovo, Khimki, Volgograd, Rybinsk, Yaroslavl, Vladimir, Novomoskovsk. The winners of the children drawing contest are Sasha Perchikov from Moscow, Yulya Dugina and Vika Efanova from Snezhinsk. The EXPO finished its work. The results were resumed. And, as it was noted by Mr. Sergey Ponamarev, Director of "Prioritet" company: ”Such EXPOs are highly appreciated by us, since they represent marketing tools for further strategic development of our company. For us, such events also mean familirization and summplementary negotiations with our clients, presentation of innovations developed by our company.
