The 5th International Nuclear Exhibition in Vietnam

29.10.2012 SEC NRS specialists as a part of delegation of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia took part in the 5th International Nuclear Exhibition, which was held within October 25 – 27, 2012 in Vietnam (Hanoi).

In the course of the visit to Vietnam, a working meeting was held with Mr. Vuong Huu Tan, Director General of the Vietnam Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety, where the Parties agreed the upcoming events in frames of the Interagency Cooperation Program, by the information of the Rostechnadzor media office.

“Rostechnadzor concluded an agreement with the Vietnam nuclear safety regulatory authority, which is implemented involving the scientific and technical support organizations (TSOs) for Rostechnadzor. We share with the Vietnamese colleagues our experience in licensing and supervision, as well as in development of the regulatory documents, that has been accumulated for the years of existence of the Russian safety regulatory authority  in the field of atomic energy use”, - noted Mr. Bezzubtsev.

Moreover, in frames of the Expo, in the course of the seminar on Nuclear Power Development upon the accident at the Fukushima-Daiichi NPP, information was presented on the state and perspectives of nuclear power development in the Russian Federation, lessons learnt from the Fukushima-Daiichi NPP accident, and steps taken by the Russian Federation to upgrade safety of the domestic nuclear power.
