The 3rd day of TSO International Conference

The third day of the IAEA International Conference on challenges faced by Technical and Scientific Support Organizations (TSOs) in enhancing nuclear safety and security participated by Rostechnadzor and SEC NRS representatives concluded in Beijing.
The Conference Session “Maintaining and strengthening TSO capabilities” was held during the first half of the day.
The afternoon special session was dedicated to 30th Anniversary of the National Nuclear Safety Administration of the People’s Republic of China. Alexey Ferapontov, Rostechnadzor Deputy Chairman, took the floor to congratulate NNSA noting the important role, professionalism and tasks of the national safety regulatory body in the conditions of implementation of the wide-scale nuclear power development program in the country.
The 3rd TSO Conference takes place in Beijing on October 27-31, 2014 and is organized by IAEA, TSO Forum through the Hosting Party (Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center) in cooperation with ETSON, the member of which SEC NRS has been since 2012. The 1st TSO Conference took place in Paris (France) in 2007 and 2nd – in Tokyo (Japan).
The IAEA TSO Forum Steering Committee (member – A. Khamaza) and TSO Conference Programme Committee (members – A. Khamaza and D. Mistryugov, SEC NRS Head International Relations) made much work to organize this international event.
