Working meeting regarding the fire and explosion safety ensuring at nuclear fuel cycle facilities  (NFCF) was held in SEC NRS 05.02.2015 On February 4, 2015 SEC NRS hosted Working meeting attended by the representatives  from “A.N. Frumkin Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry of RAS” (IPCE RAS), Rostechnadzor and SEC NRS specialists. This Meeting was dedicated to the discussion of fire and explosion safety issues  in respect of the technological processes of fuel cycle facilities  and future perspectives for cooperation in this sphere.
The participants of Working meeting had presented their reports regarding the following: SEC NRS activity directions  (made by Alexander Khamaza, Director of SEC NRS); urgency and practical relevance of  problems handling  in respect to the fire and explosion safety (by Evgeny Kudryavtsev, Head of  Department for Safety Regulation  of Nuclear Fuel Cycle Facilities, Nuclear Power Installations of Vessels and Radiation Hazardous Facilities of Rostechnadzor);   significance to develop radiochemistry all over the country  and opportunities for cooperative works in domain of fire and explosion safety ensuring (by chief research scientist of IPCE RAS, academician B.F. Myasoedov);  research activities performed by SEC NRS  in the field of fire and explosion safety evaluation (by leading researcher Evgeny Nazin, Fuel Cycle Facilities Safety Division of SEC NRS) and area of focus within IPCE RAS laboratory on radioecological and radiation problems (by S.V. Stefanovskiy).
In the course of this meeting the interest for further cooperation was confirmed and general directions for its development were defined.
