SEC NRS has concluded contract with the IAEA on distribution of IAEA publications in Russia

03.03.2015 Scientific and Engineering Centre for Nuclear and Radiation Safety (SEC NRS) recognized as scientific and technical support organization for the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service, has concluded contract with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) concerning distribution of the IAEA publications in Russia.

In accordance with the signed contract, SEC NRS has accepted a non-exclusive licence to sell and distribute the IAEA Publications within the territory of the Russian Federation.

SEC NRS is being engaged into activity on distribution of scientific and technical information to specialists either of atomic industry or Rostechnadzor for more than 25 years. For these years sufficiently reliable system on specialists provision with required documents within the competence of Rostechnadzor is worked out. Presently the available nomenclature of documents subject to distribution is completed with the most interesting publication of the IAEA. This will allow to eliminate the risk of application of inaccurate documents revisions received from untrusted sources.

Rostechnadzor under The Quality Policy Statement for the State Safety Regulation in Atomic Energy Use notes adherence to take into account the IAEA recommendations in the field of atomic energy use within the framework of its activity.

The IAEA specifies the long-term mission for every Contractor and regulatory authority to maximize the safety level when implementing the use of nuclear materials and irradiation sources all over the world. By its Statute the IAEA promotes distribution of scientific and technical information on the atomic energy peaceful use by force of publication of books, monographs and proceedings as regards to the IAEA activities, as well as publications concerned with regulatory activity where safety standards and measures are established.
