A. Khamaza, Director of SEC NRS, participated in the 3rd Top Regulators’ Meeting Plus in the Republic of Korea

The 3rd Top Regulators’ Meeting Plus was held in Seoul, the Republic of Korea, on October 22-23, 2015 to promote safe, secure and peaceful use of nuclear energy. A. Khamaza, Director of SEC NRS, participated in the meeting as a member of Rostechnadzor's delegation headed by A. Ferapontov, Deputy Chairman.

The meeting agenda comprised four Symposiums on the following matters:

• Cooperation on nuclear safety regulations;
• Cooperation on emergency preparedness response of nuclear accidents;
• Cooperation on nuclear safety R&D;
• Cooperation among nuclear reactor regulators.

Alexander Khamaza delivered his talk on the subject Scientific and technical support to Rostechnadzor, including R&D in Symposium 3: Cooperation on nuclear safety R&D.

On October 23, 2015 a technical tour was organized to Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI).
