On August 30, 2017 the Safety Guide “Recommendations on the Methods and Instruments of Control over Radioactive Substances Releases into the Atmosphere” (RB-135-17) was put into effect. The Safety Guide contains recommendations of Rostechnadzor on the methods and instruments of control over radioactive substances releases into the atmosphere. The Safety Guide covers the nuclear facilities that operate stationary sources of radioactive substances releases into the atmosphere, for which it is necessary to establish the limits of maximum permissible releases of radioactive substances into the atmosphere in accordance with the “Methodology for development and establishment of the limits of maximum permissible releases of radioactive substances into the atmosphere”, approved by the Order of Rostechnadzor No. 639 of November 7, 2012. The Safety Guide is intended to be applied by all entities and persons, including the operating organizations, executing supervision over the releases of radioactive substances into the atmosphere, by the design and other organizations, developing methodologies and instruments of the mentioned control, as well as by the specialists of Rostechnadzor in charge of safety regulation in frames of the mentioned activity. The Safety Guide was issued for the first time. The Safety Guide was developed by the team of authors, including: A.V. Kuryndin, A.S. Shapovalov, A.L. Vernik (SEC NRS). |
