On October 15, 2018 RB-149-18 “Recommendations on the determination of physical protection measures for portable radiation sources” was put in force. The Safety Guide incorporates the recommendations of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision service for physical protection of portable radiation sources during operation outside of the facility territory. The document applies to radiation sources which contain sealed sources. RB-149-18 is recommended to be used by organizations that operate portable radiation sources outside of radiation facility territories.
