Enactment of RB-095-20 and repeal of RB-095-14

On February 13, 2020, the Safety Guide RB-095-20 “Recommendations to Application of Access Control Mechanisms in the System of Accounting and Control of Radioactive Substances and Radioactive Waste”.

The Safety Guide contains recommendations of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia on application of access control mechanisms in the system of accounting and control of radioactive substances and radioactive waste.

The Safety Guide is intended to be used by organizations involved in the activities of accounting and control of radioactive substances and radioactive waste in the process of production, usage, storage, transport of radioactive substances, nuclear materials (except for nuclear materials the accounting and control of which is performed solely in the system of the state accounting and control of nuclear materials), generation, processing, conditioning, storage, disposal of radioactive wastes, including storage and processing of spent nuclear fuel.

In this regard, RB-095-14 “Recommendations to Application of Sealing Devices within the System of Accounting and Control of Radioactive Substances and Radioactive Waste” approved by the Order of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia No. 303 of July 9, 2014 was recognized as repealed.
