Enactment of Methodological Recommendations on Supervision over Radiation Safety in the Course of Operation of Radiation Sources Containing Bare Radioactive Sources and (or) Radioactive Substances

The document contains recommendations on arrangement and conduct of checks (inspections) in organizations of various industry sectors, medical and scientific institutions operating radiation sources in the course of scientific research and other activities, including transport of the applied bare radionuclides sources and (or) radioactive substances beyond the boundaries of their territories (i.e. transport by common use communication routes). The document was developed considering regulatory legal acts and other legal acts of the Russian Federation in the field of atomic energy use, as well as documents on standardization.

The Methodological Recommendations are intended for officials of Rostechnadzor engaged in arrangement and conduct of checks (inspections) for the activity of organizations operating radiation sources, which contain bare radionuclide sources and (or) radioactive substances.
