Amendments to NP-104-18

On April 24, 2021 amendments to the Federal Safety Regulations NP-104-18 "Welding and Overlay Welding of Equipment and Pipelines of Nuclear Installations" approved by the Order of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia of November 14, 2018 № 554 (registered by the Ministry of Justice of Russia on December 25, 2018 under the registry No. 53156) came into force. The document was supplemented by item 122.

NP-104-18 specifies the requirements to manufacturing, mounting and repair of the equipment and pipelines of nuclear power installations, namely:

• to welding and overlay welding, including welding materials, welding equipment, preparation to assembling for welding, types of weld joints, heat treating of weld joints and built-up parts;
• to quality control of welding and built-up materials;
• to elimination of defects and control over it.
