Enactment of RB-126-21

On September 9, 2021 the Safety Guide RB-126-21 "Recommended Methods for Calculation of Parameters Necessary to Develop Standards for Permissible Discharges of Radioactive Substances into Water Bodies" was put into effect.

The Safety Guide contains methods recommended by the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia for calculation of parameters necessary to develop standards for permissible discharges of radioactive substances into water bodies.

The Safety Guide RB-126-21 covers stationary facilities discharging radioactive substances into water bodies.

The Safety Guide is intended to be applied by organizations involved in development of draft standards for radioactive substances discharges into water bodies, and also by organizations performing safety review of the mentioned drafts.
