Agenda

  1. On the results of implementation of the third stage of R&D “Development of Safety Guides Containing Recommendations on Software Development and Conduct of Integrated Engineering and Radiation Survey for Nuclear Facilities”.
  2. On approval of the topic of thesis work in candidacy for a degree of a Candidate of Engineering Sciences “Automation of Calculations of NPP Equipment and Pipelines Strength Based on Object-Oriented Programming Language С#”.
  3. On approval of the topic of thesis work in candidacy for a degree of a Candidate of Engineering Sciences “Analysis of Efficiency of VVER Reactor Vessels Thermal Annealing”.

In respect to the first issue STC decided

  1. To take notice of the information presented in the report.
  2. To approve actions implemented at the third stage of R&D “Development of Safety Guides Containing Recommendations on Software Development and Conduct of Integrated Engineering and Radiation Survey for Nuclear Facilities” in support of the activity “Development and Practical Application of New High Performance Technologies in the Process of Decommissioning of Nuclear and Radiation Hazardous Facilities”. Take account of the outspoken proposals of STC members in further work.
  3. To recognize, that the results of the researches performed, submitted in R&D Implementation Report, comply with the requirements of the Terms of References for R&D.

In respect to the second issue STC decided

To improve the topic of the thesis work in candidacy for a degree of a Candidate of Engineering Sciences of Mr. Anton Antonov, Senior Researcher of SEC NRS Strength Division, “Automation of Calculations of NPP Equipment and Pipelines Strength Based on Object-Oriented Programming Language С#”. To bring the topic title in compliance with the speciality, which is specified for the considered candidate works in the designated Thesis Board, and also to improve the schedule for the thesis work preparation, to report to the STC as soon as the candidate is ready.

In respect to the third issue STC decided

To improve the topic of the thesis work in candidacy for a degree of a Candidate of Engineering Sciences of Mr. Vladimir Lebedinskiy, Researcher of SEC NRS Strength Division, “Analysis of Efficiency of VVER Reactor Vessels Thermal Annealing” and to report to the STC as soon as the candidate is ready.

Scientific and Technical Council

Scientific and Technical Council of SEC NRS is considered to be the permanent advisory body, which includes its Chairman (SEC NRS Director), Deputy Chairmen (Deputy Directors) , Scientific Secretary, members of STC (regular members) and Council of Elders – the honorable members of STC from among scientific workers who have made significant contribution to the development of the main directions of SEC NRS activity.

Basic tasks of Scientific and Technical Council:

  • Shaping of scientific and engineering policy of SEC NRS;
  • Improvement of effectiveness and scientific level of works under implementation by SEC NRS;
  • R&D activities directions-finding, formulation of proposals for their fulfillment;
  • coordination of activities between SEC NRS subdivisions ;
  • assessment of achievements within R&D finalized.

In accordance with basic tasks of STC, it summarizes and analyses domestic and international experience in nuclear and radiation safety regulation, makes recommendations for its enhancement and advance; addresses issues and makes proposals in respect to the directions of SEC NRS activities including compilation, analysis and dissimilation of scientific experience and knowledge in the field of nuclear and radiation safety regulation.

Consequently, Scientific and Technical Council is considered to be as the biggest internal platform for scientific discussions regarding agenda issues.
