Approval of RB-167-20

On December 7, 2020 the Safety Guide in atomic energy use "Recommendations on Justification of Residual Lifetime of Nuclear Facilities Building Structures" was approved.

The Safety Guide contains recommendations of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia on the organization, targets, scope, content and structure of works related to engineering survey of engineering structures of buildings and erections of nuclear facilities for evaluation of the residual lifetime of buildings and structures.

The Safety Guide covers the activity in the field of atomic energy use related to extension of the designed operation lifetime of nuclear facilities.

The Safety Guide is intended to be applied by organizations performing surveys and preparing documents for justification of safety and obtaining a license for extension of the operation, as well as by specialists of Rostechnadzor executing safety review of documents justifying safety of nuclear facilities.
